Bangalore, 11th December 2022: Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore, presided over the solemn Holy Eucharist at Doresanipalya as the parish celebrated its annual feast of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception on 11th December 2022.
Sepaking in his homily, Archbishop Machado delineated on the gospel passage, highlighting the virtue of purity. “As we celebrate the Annual feast of the Parish which is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the day’s Gospel reveals the personality of St. John the Baptist. Jesus speaks highly of John the Baptist, who came to prepare the way for the Lord. And like St. John the Baptist, even Mother Mary always shows us the way and leads each one of us to her Son Jesus, our Lord.” the prelate added.
Besides Archbishop Peter Machado, Msgr. C. Francis, Vicar General, Rev. Fr. Gregory Mariyappa, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Prajwal, Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Vivek Lionel Basu, Secretary to Archbishop partook in the Eucharistic celebrations as concelebrants.
Later, Archbishop Machado blessed the foundation stone for the construction of the new Church building.
