Bangalore, August 19, 2024: The Month's Mind Mass for Most Rev. Dr. Alphonsus Mathias, Archbishop Emeritus of Bangalore, was a profoundly moving ceremony held at St. Francis Xavier's Cathedral. The Mass was presided over by Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, Bishop KA William auxiliary bishops elect and concelebrated by priests and religious of the Archdiocese, reflecting the unity and respect held for Archbishop Mathias. In his homily, Archbishop Machado spoke with deep emotion, saying, "Archbishop Mathias was a beacon of faith, a shepherd who guided us with wisdom and love.
