Bangalore parishes promote National Youth Sunday

The Archdiocese of Bangalore recently observed National Youth Sunday with great fervor and devotion, highlighting the invaluable contribution of the youth to the Church's mission. The celebration was inaugurated by Archbishop Peter Machado during the Shepherd’s Voice program, setting the tone for a day dedicated to empowering and inspiring young people across the Archdiocese.

In his address, Archbishop Peter Machado spoke passionately about the role of youth in the Church. He encouraged them to be bold in their faith and active in their communities, reminding them of their unique ability to shape the future. "Young people," he said, "you are not just the future of the Church; you are its vibrant present. Let your faith be the fire that lights up the world, and your actions be the seeds of hope in every heart you touch."

The celebration was meticulously organized by Fr. Vivian Richard, Secretary of the Commission for Youth, who ensured that every aspect of the day resonated with the theme of youth empowerment and spiritual growth. Reflecting on the success of the event, Fr. Vivian Richard said, "Our youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the leaders of today. It is our responsibility to guide, support, and inspire them to live out their faith with courage and conviction. This celebration is a testament to their unwavering spirit and commitment to the Church."

The spirit of National Youth Sunday was echoed in parishes throughout the Archdiocese, where young people gathered to celebrate their faith and commitment to Christ.
