Msgr. Jayanathan administered the Sacraments to these children stressing upon the teaching of Pope Pius X
that, “Eucharist is the shortest distance between heaven and earth”.
A packed church witnessed these celebrations as the faithful and many relatives of these candidates who had travelled from different parts of Bangalore.
“It is not by our names or uniforms but by our deeds we will bear a testimony to Jesus. Hence as Christians we have to continue to strive to make a better Church, better parish and better society”, said the celebrant of the day.
His grace Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado has already instructed the parish priests that the sacraments of Holy communion and confirmation must be administered separately. In this direction, Fr. Michael Antony has prepared his parish and parishioners to embrace this change and help the children to grow in the teachings of Christian faith.
Before concluding the festal mass, the parish students who secured above 90% in SSLC and PUC were presented with mementos, to inspire more students towards academic excellence.
