Bangalore, August 12, 2019: A two day Youth Leadership program was observed on August 10 and 11 at Paalanaa Bhavana, the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center. There were 77 youth from various parishes of the Archdiocese participated in the training program.
Rev Fr. Divya Paul, the former Youth Director addressed the gathering and elaborated on the topic “Framework of the 21st Century Leadership based on 4 Cs: Critical Thinking, Communication, Creativity and Collaboration. He divided the participants into multiple groups to conduct activities that emphasize on importance of communication role play on becoming leaders.
Addressing the Youth in the afternoon session of day one, Mrs. Anita Hubert imparted insights about the corporate style of leadership. Dixon and Jose, two brothers belonging to the Salesians of Don Bosco Congregation led the one hour beautiful praise and worship session followed by confessions and adoration. The ICYM dexco conducted campfire with barbecue. There was a lot of fun with the games and dance.
Later on during the day Mr. Diran Ambrose, speaking on a session, enlightened the Youth on Faith, role models and Leadership. Mrs. Hubert gave the Youth group activity on corporate style of leadership. The session was followed by the election of deanery wise leaders.
Rev Fr. Amarnath Dinesh Roy, the Youth Director, in his homily emphasized on the need to pray for prison inmates as in observation of the prison ministry Sunday
