St. Jude's Church had the honor of receiving the Jubilee Cross from St. Don Bosco Church, Lingarajpuram, on Saturday. The solemn ceremony took place after the 6:30 AM English Mass and was officiated by Rev. Fr. Moncy, Parish Priest of St. Don Bosco Church. He formally handed over the Cross to Rev. Fr. Vinoo Fabian, Parish Priest of St. Jude's Church, in a moment of deep spiritual significance.

Following the installation of the Cross at the altar, Rev. Fr. Vinoo Fabian led a special prayer of the Cross, invoking God’s blessings upon the parish and its faithful. The congregation, comprising regular morning Mass attendees, then participated in the recitation of the Rosary, seeking the intercession of the Blessed Mother.

A warm fellowship gathering followed, where the congregation was served hot coffee and refreshments, fostering a spirit of community and togetherness among parishioners.

Throughout the day, various groups from the parish community took turns leading sessions of praise, worship, and Rosary recitations. These included:

  • Kannada and Tamil Legion of Mary

  • Vincent De Paul Society

  • Sisters of Cottolengo Convent

  • Youth, brothers, and altar servers

  • Women's Cell

  • Kannada, Tamil, and English Choirs

  • Catechism children

The day of fervent prayer and worship culminated in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, bringing together the faithful in a profound spiritual experience. As the ceremony concluded, the Jubilee Cross was formally handed over by Rev. Fr. Vinoo Fabian to Rev. Fr. Devadas, Parish Priest of St. John the Evangelist Church, JC Nagar. This marked the next phase of the Cross’s journey, continuing its mission of spreading the message of Christ’s love and redemption.

St. Jude's Church is grateful for the privilege of hosting the Jubilee Cross and for the spiritual blessings it brought to the parish community. The event strengthened the bonds of faith and unity among the faithful, leaving a lasting impact on all who participated.
